Lonely Weekend

So I've been left in the land of never ending misery and cold all by myself. Sarah and Raelee left Thursday for California. Sarah's sister is getting married. yup and that leaves me with an extremely boring weekend. and I'm sick....ugg, i hate sore throats. and with that comes the lower back pain, and the popping in my ears when i swallow. i really hope my ears don't get infected. at least i was left with a key to the "fun" room! TV with cable and a large selection of DVDs should keep me company until Sunday night!

The Long Awaited Post!

so i've decided that my friends are lame. so for now the pictures are just of the beach and Calico. whenever my friends decided to be nice and give me the good pictures (Disneyland and going to see the Watchers) i'll do another post.

okay, so the trip started at 2am-ish on Thursday. for some reason we thought it was a good idea to leave then....in the middle of a blizzard. We ended up driving 7 hours in the blizzard going 35mph through the state of Utah. I only remember stopping a lot, Kendall yelling "I'M ON THE ROAD!!" when ever we hit the rumble guard, and the beginnings of the mountain men. After escaping the mountain men of Utah, the rest of the drive was kind of a blur. We arrived in L.A. and got to the hotel sometime in the late afternoon. pretty sure we all just collapsed for a little bit. Sarah had to go see some family and Raelee and Kendall went out to explore around the hotel. for dinner we went to In n Out burger. I LOVE IN N OUT!!! its greasy and fatty, but oh so good! we had it at least three times. then we went to Sarah's future inlaws house to have a little birthday celebration for Sarah.

Day 2! Disneyland Day!! i must say i was pretty excited for this day since i've never been to disneyland. i didnt get to go on all the rides i wanted to, but i did discover my new favorite roller coaster of all time. California Screamin' is awesome!! i got to go on it twice. some other fun ones were space mountain, hollywood tower of terror, and the madderhorn. By the end of the day we were all tired and grumpy. (we were there from 8am-12 midnight)

Day 3! that was the beach day. after all of us sleeping in, we eventually made our way to the beach with Sarah's friend Evan. i found some shells and Raelee found a sand dollar, but it broke. that night we went to go drive around L.A. and Hollywood. then went to Universal City Walk. it was like times square with all the lights and noises.

Day 4! not as exciting since it was Sunday. went to church and then had real food for once. then we drove out to go see the Watchers. its these people that come out if you park outside their house. they have a video camera set up in their windows. pretty sure thats the weirdest thing I've seen.

Day 5! the drive home took almost as long as getting there, just because we didn't want to go back. we stopped at Calico for about 2 hours, and many other stops.

sorry for the wait for the California post, but your going to have to wait alittle longer. I'm waiting for more pictures. I only have pictures from the beach and the Calico ghost town. so hopefully it wont take much longer.

Retaliation

You'll need some back round info for this to make sense. so, that lamp is the ugly lamp that goes to the first girl in the whole group that gets married. it was Melissa's idea, but some how the lamp ended up in Sarah and Raelee's room. Now, fast forward a little, and the group is extremely separated. think of it as Axis vs. the Allies (the side i'm on being the allies, of course) so now we are stuck with the ugly lamp. that was until we stuck it up on the stairwell of the 13th floor.

What brought this on was the events of Wednesday night. I come over after work, peeved at Sarah and Raelee for the mean trick they did to me. but they were to excited to share what happened. so right before i came over the Axis (mostly Melissa and Tara) banged on Sarah and Raelee's door and left a bunch of white bags. pretty silly, and we still don't understand the meaning behind it. sarah and raelee just watch the door through the peep hole to see if anyone walks by and eventually they do. as tara walks by she sticks her tongue out at the door, and sarah sees and swings the door open and says thats cute. but they just walk off. we weren't going to do anything but since they want a war then we will give them one. we started thinking of what to do with the lamp. it had to be completely random. and then Kendal comes in (the blond in the picture. she lives next door and is our 4th to our little group) and gets sarah excited about leaving the lamp up on the 13th floor. so we go and do it, and have to be quiet because people are sleeping, and now we don't have that stupid lamp anymore. we're going to check on it next Wednesday to see if its still there.

OH!! almost forgot. I'M GOING TO CALIFORNIA!! exactly in one week i will be at Disneyland with Sarah, Raelee, and Kendal. with a long weekend comes a road trip so what better place that SOCAL! I'm soo excited. be expecting a long post for that.

Tabbing

So my religion teacher (Brother Wright, he is awesome) has this crazy reference system that lets you find any scripture on almost any topic (40 of the major ones) within seconds. Its called the tabbing system. Its really cool way to mark up your scriptures. so thats what I've been doing in my spare time. unfortunately i don't have a lot of it, so as you can see i haven't got that far. plus i have to do my bible. Raelee has gotten up to faith, the last time i checked, so my competitive side is saying, DO IT!! BEAT HER!! lol. eventually I'll finish it.

and a side note, President Hinckley's funeral is right now, and I'm not there. I'm kinda bummed. i would of had to get up at 6am to wait to get tickets, and i didn't go to bed until like 3am. I'll settle for the internet.

I'M FAMOUS!

I was on the news!! me, Sarah and Raelee were walking around temple square after hearing about President Hinckley's death and the news guy asked us if we would like to answer some questions. Only me and Sarah did, and we ended up on the 10pm news! i'm only on it for 3 seconds but its still super cool! i'm not sure how to put video on the blog still, but i'll put the link from the news website. if you dont want to watch the whole segment (its about 14mins total) just pause it and speed it up to about the 5 minute mark.

Frustrating process

So I'm finally getting around to registering my car, and it has turned out to be a long frustrating (and expensive) process. First i had to get the title from Greg so i could get the safety and emissions tested, but he was in Montana for a week. then i had to get my headlight fixed. so i go get the test and i pass the emissions but failed safety. the windshield washer pump is burned out. i found that out in December when i got my wiper blades fixed, but didn't bother with the pump. so i have to get that done within two weeks so that i don't have to pay for the safety check again. I'm just hoping that i wont get turned down at the registration place.
